Very dark. Have you seen the movie "Candy" with Abby Cornish and Heath Ledger? It reminded me a lot of that.

I haven't! But I'm gonna add it to my movies-to-watch list :)
It's based on a book called "Candy" by Luke Davis and is very good. It's about the decent of drug taking, set in Australia.
Very dark.
