A Comeback Question...

Hello Everyone!

Well, it feels like returning home after a long, long gap of staying away. Just like I felt when I had returned back home after 2 years from abroad. It made me happy, but there was still a lack of confidence and a feeling of awkwardness. And it is more or less the same right now. I think I'm gonna wait till I come up with some good prose for the blog as I have some "getting-used-to-bloggging-again" to do. But it feels great to be back! I missed all of you...

I was just thinking of posting something when I thought why not start the first interactive post on my blog! So here I go...

Whenever you look back at your past, do you feel that you shouldn't have done something this way or that way? Or you felt like a total ass for doing something which makes you feel stupid and embarrassed now?

I feel so all the time! I always find some room for improvement in everything I ever did. But that's just me. It's not like I go out of the way with my thoughts but then I just feel that it would have been better if it was perfect. Either way, I had to settle with behaving like that at that particular time!

Well, I would love to share some incidents with all of you... Like just few weeks ago I went grocery shopping for my "diet" and I bought so much of stuff... And I swore I was going to stick to the program. One week later while throwing the spoilt Watermelon in the dustbin I thought, "What the hell was I thinking buying all this stuff when I knew I wasn't gonna stick to the program?!"

This is just one incident. I have tonnes!

But I guess all of us go through this phase many times in our lives. I would love to hear about it from all of you! Do tell us how you feel about this, and if you put in some incidents and experiences too, that's the icing on the cake!

Hoping for a great feedback!

So yea i dont really regret or feel bad about anything coz i know iv learnt from it...Yea if i didn learn from it then i should regret.
But till date iv always learnt from my mistakes :)

Take care

i think mistakes made us what we are right now.. i mean if we hadnt made those wrong decisions we would have been different.. not necessarily better.
i have made a lot of bad decisions mostly regarding my studies, and sometimes when i think abt it i feel a bit sad.. but then again i love what im right now.. n i owe it to those decisions..

dear ashri,
What u wrote was one incident of a kind that keeps on happening in everyday life...

regret is a word of greater degree I believe...

there are things I too regret... a lot of them!
frankly speaking ...I would like to go back 10 yrs down the line and start the journey of my life again!

hmhm... If you are not going to make any mistakes, them you will never really have any stories to tell people. Will you.

If you are not gonna make any mistakes, then you will never really learn anything by experiencing. Will you?

And like u said... every one of us sure has a bunch of them on our laps.

but i think it is these mistakes that we do define us in the end.

cheers

i think its very much human.. i have always regretted for spending more on accessories(i love them but when in hurry i tend to forget wearing, so basically no point coz 'm always in a hurry!)

another thing i've always regretted is speaking crap when I'm angry.. I have lost a few friends coz of that.. makes me feel terrible when I think about it now.
These days i tend to keep quiet and think before I talk..

I commit so many mistakes on a regular basis that I'm learning every second.. brand new mistakes, brand new lessons! ;)

ps: Its nice to read others' answers! :)

Ashrita said...

It's nice to read others' answers indeed, but its an added pleasure to read the examples you've given! Both of these things have happened with me. Not only accessories, but I also buy clothes and I have a closet full of clothes that have not been worn even once and it has a lot to do with my weight factor too, I buy clothes sometimes for the time when I grow real slim!

Am so glad ur back :)
As far as ur question is concerned...

I wish i had taken time to stop raging at my parents...and maybe then today my relationship with them would be better. Its better but not the way I would've loved. or they would have either...

Oh Lord. You made me think of the crazy weird dates.. Of all the stupid movies i have seen! Just soooo many things!

But if you want inspiration to do something, then ask people what they stuck to rather than what they didnt!

I thought u left to meditate with the dalai lama!!..damnn girl...where were u!!

Anyways to answer ur question...nope...no i dont regret anything i ve ever done..nothing i ve ever said..coz i believe whatever has happened even if it might be some huge mistake only helps us improve as people..as human beings.

For eg..now tat ur water melon is rotting away somewhere..its highly unlikely that u ll be making that same mistake again anytime soon.

Wat say?

luv

first of all
thanks for the visits.. really honoured..

if i could state an example from my life, it would be my blogging-journey..

it all started in 2003.. being a passive blogger for two years, i started a poetry blog-it bombed.. later started a philosophical blog-it bombed again... and thats when i realised blogging is not about showcasing your own talent but its a way through which you connect with the heart and soul of the reader and I finally started connecting with people through humor and there was no turning back

Ashrita said...

Hello Chriz, glad to have you here! Well, we can see how a series of unsuccessful bombed blogs led to an atom bomb humor blog of yours :)
